Manish Malhotra's Phulkari Collection

From ongoing Fashion week .. I was desperatly waiting for Manish Malhotra's Show .And after i got the pics... I'm super excited. Manish's latest collection is a tribute to rich punjabi heritage and I loved his collection.

I loved this multicolored Phulkari jacket and border lehenga. Its graceful n very funky. Braided hairstyle with golden parandi completed the look. Its Perfect for a sangeet or Cocktail evening.

Earthy orange and Vivacious blue and pink is very subtle yet feminine.

Overall, Its a treat to watch sumthing traditional with modern twist. I'm a fan of regional embroideries and Manish Malhotra 's Phulkari twist is surely a trendsetter for upcoming wedding season.
And I can't wait to design a outfit just like MM..so will do sum shopping tommorow.

Jewelery Essentials: Jhoomar and Matha Patti

Jewellery is on every woman's wish list. And being a self confessed jewellery fan, I'm considering various options to experiment with jewelery for different looks.

Being a Punjabi girl.. Maang tikka is a must have in jewellery, But I love Jhoomar's n Maatha Patti's as well. These jewellery pieces look Royal n so elegant and can easily transform your look. Royal Queen's used to wear Jhoomar n Matha patti's n I think To look like a modern maharani, One piece of either Jhoomar or Matha Patti Or Both should be a part of your Trousseau as well. I've found these real brides wearing these cuties n they look Fabulous.

Beautiful Brides!!! Loved the Jhoomars.
Wearing them on Mehndi or Sangeet functions with heavy earrings is a gr8 idea.

All r soooo good tht its difficult to choose one

I was a little biased towards Jhoomars but after seeing these grand Matha Pattis, I'll soon order one for myself😊

Rajasthani Royalty!!!

This is my Favourite. Its Royal, Rustic and Perfect for a fun Cocktail evening or Sangeet.

Great for Reception or wear it alone on a Friend's Wedding. You'll look like a Goddess.

What's Your Pick??? Do share your views and If You have Heirloom Jewellery Pieces , Do share your story and Pics of the Jewellery. See ya...

Punjabi Princess Bride

The best makeup is Your Smile. There is no beauty like the one that comes from inside of You........

A happy Bride naturally Glows, and this statement is so beautifully proven by this beautiful Punjabi Bride Zuby.

She's the most beautiful Bride And her charming smile is breathtaking. She choosed a ruby Colored Lehenga for her day wedding and her jewellery is sourced from different jewellers.I loved the Veiled look for the Gurudwara Ceremony and her jewellery is so elegant .She's truly a Princess .

Picture Perfect!!!!

Her Maang tikka with Peacock pattern is so different and unique as usually Brides wear Kundan or Uncut jewellery. Its a statement piece and the Showstopper.I badly want this:)

Made for each other:)

Bride's sisters n mother 's Jewellery is the mix of Hyderabadi and Mughal Jewellery. Their Matha pattis are so royal and classy.
Its really a treat for eyes to see such a beautiful Bride and her Beautiful Family.

If You Are A Chubby Bride...

Being a self Confessed addict of all thing pretty and all the designer wedding stuff,I can say tht I've seen enough Bridal wear Pics to last a decade atleast.... but the thing which is Common in all the millions n trillions of those Straight from a Runway kind of Brides is that all Brides are thin , Skinny with an almost perfect body. Strange! but true.

I was on my shopping spree few days ago checking out various stores for the latest stuff in Formals n I noticed tht there is hardly anything on display for Chubby and Plus size Brides. Even on Google search nothing is impressing for Brides who are curvy n on the heavier side. Commercial wedding market has projected an unnatural representation of a Bride tht People think thin is beautiful.Going on a diet before wedding exercising is so hyped tht PEople can't remember tht being healthy is important not being thin. And I Personally ignore those people who think tht you need to lose weight to look good.

So ,If You are a Chubby and think tht You are Fat.... Do'nt starve yourself . remember few things before choosing your Bridal Lehengas n Trousseau outfits.

First, Accept your Body . There is not a single thing wrong with you if you do'nt look like a poster Bride of Vogue.Every Woman is Beautiful and Special.Any Bride will look Fabulous As long as she is genuinely happy.

Choose Your Bridal Outfit wisely.Your Bridal Lehenga or Outfit should makes you feel wonderful. Do'nt follow the trends blindly. What works for u can't work for others.
Always wear your Size...A perfect fit is the most important thing of the outfit.

Do'nt choose a lehenga where your kurti falls  little bit above where your lehnga starts. This will draw attention to your hips, make sure the shirt is longer than where your lehnga starts .

Sleeves plays an important role in a outfit. Do'nt wear too much embelished sleeves or puffed sleeves with lots of kaam as it will draw attention to your upper body. Sheer mid length sleeves suits almost all the body types as well as long churidaars.

Always go for a net or georgette sheer duppatta with average amount of work. A heavy loaded duppatta looks very unappealing n steal tht grace of a classy Bride.

Empire waist or full length Anarkalis in net or soft fabrics look equally fab. Choose Flowy fabrics like georgette , chiffons for a comfy n easy look.

If you have large hips, wear dark skirts or pants and light coloured blouse.Don’t choose clothes that are too tight. Clothes that fit well make you appear beautiful while tight clothes will only add kilos.

Long Kameez with a Sharara is an ideal option as it looks elegant and graceful.

Lehenga with full ghera is a must for a heavy bride that flows from top. A fitted lehenga wo'nt look good as it draws attention to problem areas.

Heels can do wonders to your body. Wear high heels for a clean n confident look.

If you are going to buy a saree... Do'nt ever choose a Fabric that creates volumes and puffiness. It usually adds volume to body. Instead of an embelished with tons of work saree go for a subtle saree and add glamour with wearing jewelery. Its not necessary to wear bling to stand out in crowd. Simplicity still works!!!!

Above all, feel comfortable and beautiful and just be yourself.... Celebrate being a woman:)

Mehndi and Sangeet Lehenga Inspirations

Mehndi and Sangeet Functions are the most Colorful, Enjoyable , Funfilled events with all the extended family. So, Outfits for these functions should be Bright , Cheerful and Light So, you can Dance easily and without hassle.

After lot of Research work.. I have selected few ideas tht will look Fabulous and Apt for the ocassion.
I loved both the looks. Red and Yellow is looking perfect for Mehndi Theme and her head jewellery is awesum!! Second Bride's Bandhi style is so Mehndish and very bright. Its so easy to get that look with a lil innovation.

Funky n light Lehnga saree is so cute as well as the Gota Patti Lehenga. Gota Patti is very pouplar ,If You r choosing Sangeet or Mehndi Outfits. The work is very lightweight n easy to carry.Sabyasachi's Thread work Lehengas will always remain hot favourite among Brides.

These Bright Lehengas r very versatile and easy to wear.First Orange Lehenga is From Nikasha Tawdey and rest of Two r from Shyamal and Bhumika. The Green Velvet and Circled Gota work Duppttaa is my Personal Favourite.I've recently got hold of this Design and I really liked it.Here is the pic
How is it??? Nice na

I guess,I need 20 Lehengas for my wedding as I love so many things n its hard to choose. The above Orange and Pink Lehenga is from Payal Kapoor and my Fav Orange one is  from Preeti S Kapoor.

Loved the light purple neeta lulla Lehenga. N Pink Colored Vikram Phadnis Outfit is equally dazzling.
