If You Are A Chubby Bride...

Being a self Confessed addict of all thing pretty and all the designer wedding stuff,I can say tht I've seen enough Bridal wear Pics to last a decade atleast.... but the thing which is Common in all the millions n trillions of those Straight from a Runway kind of Brides is that all Brides are thin , Skinny with an almost perfect body. Strange! but true.

I was on my shopping spree few days ago checking out various stores for the latest stuff in Formals n I noticed tht there is hardly anything on display for Chubby and Plus size Brides. Even on Google search nothing is impressing for Brides who are curvy n on the heavier side. Commercial wedding market has projected an unnatural representation of a Bride tht People think thin is beautiful.Going on a diet before wedding exercising is so hyped tht PEople can't remember tht being healthy is important not being thin. And I Personally ignore those people who think tht you need to lose weight to look good.

So ,If You are a Chubby and think tht You are Fat.... Do'nt starve yourself . remember few things before choosing your Bridal Lehengas n Trousseau outfits.

First, Accept your Body . There is not a single thing wrong with you if you do'nt look like a poster Bride of Vogue.Every Woman is Beautiful and Special.Any Bride will look Fabulous As long as she is genuinely happy.

Choose Your Bridal Outfit wisely.Your Bridal Lehenga or Outfit should makes you feel wonderful. Do'nt follow the trends blindly. What works for u can't work for others.
Always wear your Size...A perfect fit is the most important thing of the outfit.

Do'nt choose a lehenga where your kurti falls  little bit above where your lehnga starts. This will draw attention to your hips, make sure the shirt is longer than where your lehnga starts .

Sleeves plays an important role in a outfit. Do'nt wear too much embelished sleeves or puffed sleeves with lots of kaam as it will draw attention to your upper body. Sheer mid length sleeves suits almost all the body types as well as long churidaars.

Always go for a net or georgette sheer duppatta with average amount of work. A heavy loaded duppatta looks very unappealing n steal tht grace of a classy Bride.

Empire waist or full length Anarkalis in net or soft fabrics look equally fab. Choose Flowy fabrics like georgette , chiffons for a comfy n easy look.

If you have large hips, wear dark skirts or pants and light coloured blouse.Don’t choose clothes that are too tight. Clothes that fit well make you appear beautiful while tight clothes will only add kilos.

Long Kameez with a Sharara is an ideal option as it looks elegant and graceful.

Lehenga with full ghera is a must for a heavy bride that flows from top. A fitted lehenga wo'nt look good as it draws attention to problem areas.

Heels can do wonders to your body. Wear high heels for a clean n confident look.

If you are going to buy a saree... Do'nt ever choose a Fabric that creates volumes and puffiness. It usually adds volume to body. Instead of an embelished with tons of work saree go for a subtle saree and add glamour with wearing jewelery. Its not necessary to wear bling to stand out in crowd. Simplicity still works!!!!

Above all, feel comfortable and beautiful and just be yourself.... Celebrate being a woman:)
